This 10-hour course was developed by the U.S. Department of Labor to provide construction workers, supervisors, and other personnel responsible for construction activities with an increase awareness of safety and health concerns in the construction industry. It is also intended to meet NWIBRT requirements that will become effective August 1, 1998 and must be completed by August 1, 1999. All those attending will become familiar with reading and using the OSHA Standards for Construction 29 CFR 1926. Other safety and health standards that apply to construction will also be discussed. Those attending will be prepared to recognize and control a variety of hazardous conditions that may exist on their job sites, and at the same time understand the regulations and how to conform.
Instructors involved with this program are authorized trainers and will request OSHA course completion cards through a OSHA authorized facility for those successfully completing this course. Proof of class completion will be provided, and course completion cards will be issued through the mail upon delivery to CAF.
This is a 2 day class. Lunch will be provided. Class cancellation may occur due to lack of participation, therefore registration before said deadline is strongly encouraged.
