2025 CAF Award Applications will be Available January 20th – March 14th
We are pleased to announce that again this year we will co-host the Annual Industry Banquet with the Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable (NWIBRT) The banquet will be held on May 8, 2025 at the Avalon Banquet Center in Merrillville. At this banquet, the CAF will present contractor and project of the year awards and NWIBRT will present their annual safety awards. Nomination applications must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 14, 2025. Projects eligible for nomination must be substantially completed by the ward due date. Construction Advancement Foundation Contractor of the Year Award Categories
Contractor of the Year Awards are based on safety, excellence in partnering and teamwork, quality project management, innovation and uniqueness in construction techniques, consideration for the environment and its surroundings, community support, craftsmanship, and supervisory training and education.

Project of the Year Awards are based on criteria which reflect the contractor’s ability to deliver a quality project to the owner on schedule, within budget, and with minimal disruption of the owner’s operation while upholding the highest commitment of safety.

The “Excellence in Professional Development Award” recognizes contractors who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to enhancing the quality and skills of their workforce through proactive and comprehensive professional development initiatives.
This award embodies a dedication to internal training programs, external collaborations with third-party training providers, community engagement to promote construction careers, and a focus on innovation and technology training.
The recipient of this award not only showcases excellence in construction but also exhibits a visionary approach to workforce development, contributing significantly to the growth and advancement of the industry.
